It’s hard to believe, but abortion was just as prevalent in the late 1800’s per capita as it is today. What brought it to an all time low in 1910, was support services and help for pregnant women in need. Those numbers remained low until the 1960’s with the Cultural Revolution and subsequently the infamous Supreme Court decisions, Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton in 1973.
There are more than 1,800 pregnancy help centers throughout the country. All offer free help and support to pregnant women in need. Many also offer free ultra sound that allows women to see their child and find out how far along the baby is in development.
